Dark Age

  • Use the 1st and 2nd villagers to build a Town Center on wood.

  • Use the 3rd villager to build a dock near a shore fish, then build a house and start collecting the shore fish.

  • Send your 4th and onward villagers to wood until you can produce your 1st fishing ship and build another house.

  • Once your 1st fishing ship is queued, start sending villagers to food under the Town Center (sheep, shore fish, or stragglers).

  • Avoid banking too much food aim to barely continuously produce villagers.

  • As your food income grows, transfer some food villagers to wood to maintain fishing ship production.

  • Once you’re able to sustain villager and fishing ship production simultaneously, you’re on the right track.

  • Keep making villagers and fishing ships until you have 4 fishing ships.

  • Then, build a mining camp on gold and move all wood villagers to food to prioritize Feudal Age timing.

  • Click up to Feudal Age once you have 500 food.

Feudal Age Transition

  • Switch all your food villagers to wood.

  • Build a 2nd dock and queue 1 extra fishing ship.

  • Build a lumber camp.

Feudal Age

  • Start producing galleys (or fire ships if appropriate) from both docks.

  • Research the 1st wood upgrade (Double-Bit Axe).

  • Send 3 extra villagers to gold.

  • Use your navy to kill enemy fishing ships.

  • Build a mill on nearby deer, a market, and a blacksmith.

  • Transition most of your wood villagers to food to prepare for Castle Age.

Castle Age Transition

Choose your strategy and adjust your economy accordingly:

  • For a castle drop, send around 10th–11th villagers to stone and balance the rest of your economy to support unique unit production.

  • For a water-focused play with fire ships, focus on wood and gold and continue boat production.

  • For knights or cav archers, build the appropriate military building and balance your eco for army production.
