Map Presentation

Graveyards is a semi-open land map that allows for both aggressive and defensive play, depending on how wallable your base is. Early aggression is common, as players often raid economies to gain an advantage. This map is ideal for Feudal Age players who enjoy fast-paced action. It is very similar to Arabia, but with more relics and less gold in the base, which forces players to create larger armies in the Castle Age to control the map.

  • Practice strong Dark Age efficiency and follow a solid build order.

  • Prioritize managing your own economy over damaging your opponent’s.

  • Never idle your Town Center.

  • Take safer resources first, ideally those located at the back of your base.

  • Secure your base early with short walls connected to your Town Center.

  • Scout your opponent well and adapt your strategy accordingly.

  • Play to your civilization’s strengths, whether economic bonuses or military units.

  • Don’t hesitate to build a defensive tower in the Feudal Age, floating 200 stone is a waste if you die without using it.

  • In Castle Age, focus on map control: punish greedy booms with a forward castle, contest golds, and secure relics.

  • Don’t overcommit to relics, they should be taken but not at the cost of major mistakes.

  • Use castles to control key hills as the game progresses.

Suggested Gameplan:

Dark Age:

  • Focus on executing your build order.

  • Scout your map properly to find key resources and walling potential.

Feudal Age:

  • Complete your build order and start walling your base once your main goal is achieved.

  • Add counter units based on what your opponent is creating.

Castle Age:

  • Build a second Town Center on a good woodline, treat it like a large lumber camp.

  • Stick to two Town Centers to maintain military pressure.

  • Add more counter units as needed.

  • Take map control and put pressure on the front of your opponent’s base.

  • Once you gain map control, make a monastery and start taking relics, take a lot of stone and look to drop a forward castle near your opponent to hit his base.
