Pacific islands is a waterish hybrid map that features both land and water action. Each match can play out differently, as players may prioritize water or land based on situational factors but keep in mind both players start with a transport ship.
A solid build order is essential, making this a great map to practice the early game and improve your multitasking skills.

General Tips

Practice your Dark Age efficiency and stick to a solid build order.
Explore with your transport and keep your scout active on the big islands to find ressources for the feudal age.
On the way to the feudal age or earlier, transport a good amount of villagers to one of the middle islands for better woodline and food ressources.
Hide your transport further away from the shore so you don’t lose it until you need it.
Attack the starting island first with land units.
Avoid getting housed early, your production will be high.
Don’t over invest into fishing ships, they are very exposed and there are very few fishs
Never idle your Town Center.
Prioritize a well-placed lumber camp, wood is your most important resource, you can find some spots between 2 small woodlines.
Don’t hesitate to build a defensive tower in Feudal Age on the bigger island, dying with 200 stone in the bank is a waste!
Once you click the Feudal Age, reduce the number of villagers on food. Prioritize wood instead as you will need many buildings soon and you have fishing ships for the food eco.
Always make one fire ship no matter what to protect your fish or fake a water play.

Add more docks later in the feudal to improve your fishing ship efficiency if they are still alive
If you fight on water make sure to kill the opponent’s fishing ships.
Build a market in the late feudal age, eco management is really difficult on this map.
In the castle age, focus on controlling one big island only, you can raid the other island but focus your economy on only one.
Bulding a castle next to the middle river will allow you to make new docks and transport without any trouble.
