Map Presentation:

As the name suggests, Megarandom is a map where anything can happen. You’ll spawn on an unknown terrain that could be an open map, a hybrid map, a closed map, a land-nomad-style map, or even one with multiple Town Centers.
You’ll need to scout carefully to understand what kind of map you’ve been given!

You might struggle in the early game since most Megarandom generations don’t allow for a standard build order. This map demands flexibility and quick thinking—perfect for players who enjoy adapting on the fly.

  • Scout the map properly, information is key.

  • If there’s water, it’s usually at the edges, corners or in the center, so be sure to check both.

  • Avoid super-tight build orders. Leaving room for adaptation is often the better choice.

  • Try to quickly identify the map type you’re playing on and tailor your strategy accordingly, rather than attempting a bit of everything.

  • Don’t hesitate to mill deer if necessary, while uncommon, it’s often a strong option on Megarandom.

  • Woodlines can be strange; use straggler trees if needed while searching for a better spot for your lumber camp.

  • Don’t over-prioritize walling early on, there are already many things to focus on.

  • If you start with multiple scouts, take advantage of the auto-scouting feature.

  • Don’t get caught up trying fancy plays just because it’s a fancy map. Once you recognize the map style, play it like you would a normal map of that type.
