Hamburger is a hybrid map that features both land and water action. Each match can play out differently, as players may prioritize water or land based on situational factors. The starting woodline can be reached by the opponent’s towers making it very intense early feudal age.
A solid build order is essential, making this a great map to practice the early game and improve your multitasking skills.

Practice your Dark Age efficiency and stick to a solid build order.
Avoid getting housed early, your production will be high.
Scout the opponent woodline in his base with your scout in the dark age or early feudal age using the extended vision to find it from your side of the map.
Don’t over invest into fishing ships, they are very exposed, you just need enough for a constant villager production (3-4)
Never idle your Town Center.
Wall the sides on the way to feudal age.
Make a tower in Feudal Age behind opponent’s wood.
Once you click the Feudal Age, reduce the number of villagers on food. Prioritize wood and a bit of gold instead so you can afford military on water, towers and more in the feudal age…
Make fire ships at low level, galleys if you have the ability to multitask.
Always spend your wood
Start taking stone after making a few military boats, it’s time for more towers
Move your wood villagers if the opponent towers your woodline, there is still space in the middle wood
Make a transport and send villagers outside in the mid feudal age.
Have only 2 docks early feudal, it could get complicated to take wood very soon.
Straggler trees can save you in case you can’t take wood in the middle anymore.
Have a market late feudal to balance your eco.
Mule cart civilisations are very very strong.
Other civs saving wood early feudal age can be good.
Add Town centers on the outside in the castle age, it’s also ok to migrate more villagers
